futuristic vision

Futuristic vision describes an imaginative conception of what the future might look like—often emphasizing advanced technology, radical design, or utopian (or dystopian) possibilities.

The phrase appears in discussions of architecture, product design, science fiction, and corporate strategy: The company's futuristic vision includes flying cars and cities in the sky.

It can also describe someone's capacity to anticipate future developments: She had the futuristic vision to invest in renewable energy decades ago.
