furler
Mast-mounted sail roller
A furler is a device or mechanism that rolls up sails, flags, or similar materials for storage or deployment.
On sailboats, a furler allows the crew to wind the jib or genoa around the forestay rather than lowering it: The roller furler made single-handed sailing much easier.
Someone who furls something may also be called a furler.
