stethoscope
Doctor's ear piece
A stethoscope is a medical instrument for listening to sounds inside the body—heartbeat, breathing, bowel activity.
It consists of a chest piece that picks up sound, connected by tubing to earpieces worn by the examiner.
The stethoscope is iconic of the medical profession; doctors are routinely depicted with one draped around the neck.
