emblems
Crests and seals
Emblems are symbols or designs that represent something larger—a nation, organization, or idea.
A country's flag is an emblem of national identity; a logo serves as a corporate emblem.
The word suggests official or formal representation: The eagle is the emblem of the United States.
Emblems can also be abstract: The dove has long been an emblem of peace.
