dram
Sixty grains exactly
A dram is a small unit of weight—one sixteenth of an ounce in the avoirdupois system, or one eighth of an ounce in the apothecary system.
More commonly, a dram is a small drink of whiskey or other spirits: Just a wee dram to warm you up.
The spelling drachm sometimes appears in British pharmaceutical contexts.
By extension, a dram can mean any small amount: not a dram of sense. (Capitalized DRAM is a type of computer memory.)
