blind stitch

Invisible hem technique

A blind stitch is a sewing technique where thread passes through fabric in a way that remains invisible from the outside.

Used for hems, linings, and repairs where visible stitching would be undesirable.

The needle catches only a few threads of the outer fabric, leaving no trace on the surface: She blind-stitched the hem so it looked seamless.
