saddle stitch
Stapled spine method
Saddle stitch is a binding method where pages are folded, nested together, and stapled through the fold—the way most magazines and pamphlets are bound.
The name comes from the saddle-shaped support that holds pages during stitching.
As a verb, to saddle stitch is to bind this way: We saddle stitched the zines ourselves.
