blinding
Too bright seeing
Blinding describes light so intense it impairs vision: a blinding flash, blinding sun.
Extended uses preserve this sense of overwhelming intensity: blinding pain, blinding speed, blinding rage.
In British slang, blinding means excellent or impressive: That was a blinding goal.
To blind is to deprive of sight, so blinding also names that action: the blinding of Samson.
