nonbeing
Opposite of existence
Nonbeing is the state of not existing—the absence or negation of being.
The term appears mainly in philosophical contexts, where it contrasts with being or existence: Parmenides argued that nonbeing cannot be thought or spoken of.
It can also refer to something that does not exist: treating the unborn as a nonbeing.
