megabits
Internet speed measure
Megabits are units of digital information equal to one million bits, used primarily to measure data transfer speeds.
Internet connection speeds are typically advertised in megabits per second (Mbps): My download speed is 100 megabits per second.
Not to be confused with megabytes, which are eight times larger—a distinction that matters when downloading files.
