ban hammer
Forum enforcer's weapon
The ban hammer is the authority to ban users from an online community—a forum, game server, social media platform, or chat room.
Moderators and administrators wield the ban hammer, and when they use it, they're said to swing, drop, or bring down the ban hammer: The mods dropped the ban hammer on the trolls.
The image is of a judge's gavel or Thor's hammer delivering swift justice.
