hadrosaurs

Cretaceous herbivorous reptiles

Hadrosaurs were duck-billed dinosaurs that lived during the Late Cretaceous period, characterized by their broad, flattened snouts and complex dental batteries for grinding vegetation.

They walked on two or four legs and were among the most successful herbivorous dinosaurs before the mass extinction.

Some species had elaborate crests that may have functioned in communication or display.
