downing
Knocking to ground
Downing is the act of bringing something down or consuming something quickly.
You down an opponent by knocking them to the ground, or down a drink by swallowing it fast: He downed three beers in an hour.
In gaming, downing means incapacitating an enemy without killing them.
A plane downing is a crash or shootdown.
