cruise control
Highway driving automation
Cruise control is a system that automatically maintains a vehicle's speed without continuous pressure on the accelerator.
The driver sets a speed, and the car holds it until brakes are applied or the system is disengaged.
I set the cruise control at seventy and relaxed.
Figuratively, to be on cruise control is to proceed effortlessly or without full attention: After the first quarter, the team was on cruise control.
