White Nile

Uganda-sourced African waterway

The White Nile is the longer of the two main tributaries of the Nile River, flowing north from Lake Victoria through Uganda and South Sudan before meeting the Blue Nile at Khartoum, Sudan.

It provides a steadier but smaller volume of water than the Blue Nile, which contributes most of the Nile's flood waters.
