Limpopo

Crocodile-inhabited African river

Limpopo is a river in southern Africa, flowing from South Africa through Botswana, Zimbabwe, and Mozambique to the Indian Ocean.

It also names South Africa's northernmost province, bordering the river.

The word appears in Kipling's "Just So Stories" as the "great grey-green, greasy Limpopo River," giving it literary resonance beyond geography.
