Union Flag

UK's national standard

The Union Flag is the national flag of the United Kingdom, combining the crosses of St.

George (England), St.

Andrew (Scotland), and St.

Patrick (Ireland) into a single design.

It is often called the Union Jack, though some insist that term applies only when the flag is flown at sea.

The Union Flag flew at half-mast.
