Tycho

Prominent moon crater

Tycho is a masculine given name, most associated with the Danish astronomer Tycho Brahe (1546–1601), whose precise observations of planetary motion laid groundwork for Kepler's laws.

The name also designates a prominent lunar crater named for him: The Tycho crater's ray system is visible from Earth.

Occasionally used as a first name, it carries scholarly or astronomical connotations.
