ejecta

Violently expelled material

Ejecta is material thrown out by a volcano, explosion, or impact.

The term appears most often in scientific contexts describing volcanic debris—ash, rock fragments, lava bombs—or the material scattered when a meteorite strikes a planetary surface: The crater was surrounded by a field of ejecta.
