Rastafarian

Zion-seeking faith follower

Rastafarian refers to a follower of Rastafari, a religious movement that originated in Jamaica in the 1930s.

Rastafarians worship Haile Selassie I, the former emperor of Ethiopia, as divine, and often embrace African identity, natural living, and the spiritual use of cannabis.

The movement is associated with dreadlocks and reggae music: Bob Marley was the most famous Rastafarian musician.

Also shortened to Rasta.
