Druze

Secretive monotheistic community

The Druze are members of a Middle Eastern religious community concentrated in Lebanon, Syria, and Israel.

Their faith emerged in 11th-century Egypt, drawing on Islamic, Gnostic, and Neoplatonic elements, though most Muslims do not consider them Islamic.

Druze religious teachings are esoteric, revealed only to initiated members.

The community is known for fierce loyalty to whichever country they inhabit.
