Quebec City
St. Lawrence provincial seat
Quebec City is the capital of the Canadian province of Quebec, located on the Saint Lawrence River.
Founded in 1608, it is one of the oldest European settlements in North America and the only walled city north of Mexico.
The historic district, with its French colonial architecture, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The city is predominantly French-speaking: We spent a week in Quebec City practicing our French.
