Nazgul

Nazgûl are the nine undead servants of Sauron in J.R.R.

Tolkien's Middle-earth legendarium, also called Ringwraiths or Black Riders.

Once mortal kings corrupted by rings of power, they exist as wraith-like figures cloaked in black, neither living nor dead.

Their presence inspires supernatural terror.

The word comes from Tolkien's invented Black Speech, meaning "ring-wraith." The Nazgûl shrieked as it swooped toward the city.
