Mount McKinley

North America's summit

Mount McKinley is the former official name of Denali, the highest peak in North America at 20,310 feet, located in Alaska.

The mountain was named for William McKinley, the 25th U.S. president, in 1896.

In 2015, the federal government restored the indigenous Athabascan name Denali, though Mount McKinley persists in some usage.
