Mohican
Shaved-sides style
Mohican refers to members of an Algonquian people originally from the upper Hudson River valley in New York, or their language.
The word is often confused with Mahican, a distinct but related group.
In British English, a mohican is a hairstyle with the sides of the head shaved and a central strip of hair standing upright—what Americans call a mohawk.
He showed up with a bright green mohican.
