Lethe

Hades' memory eraser

Lethe is a river in Greek mythology that flows through the underworld.

The souls of the dead drink from it to forget their mortal existence before being reborn.

The name means "forgetfulness" or "concealment" in Greek.

Lethe appears frequently in classical literature and poetry as a symbol of oblivion and the release from earthly memory. (Lowercase lethe means forgetfulness.)
