lethal injection
Deadly administered dose
Lethal injection is a method of execution in which a condemned prisoner is killed by intravenous administration of drugs—typically a sequence that sedates, paralyzes, and stops the heart.
It became the predominant execution method in the United States in the late twentieth century, presented as more humane than electrocution or gas.
The state scheduled his lethal injection for midnight.
