Ninth no more
Pluto is a dwarf planet in the outer solar system, formerly classified as the ninth planet until 2006.
In Roman mythology, Pluto is the god of the underworld, equivalent to the Greek Hades.
The name also belongs to Mickey Mouse's cartoon dog, introduced by Disney in 1930. (Lowercase pluto is rare slang for demoting something.)
