Holy Saturday
Between death, resurrection
Holy Saturday is the day before Easter Sunday in the Christian calendar, commemorating the period when Jesus lay in the tomb following his crucifixion.
It marks the end of Lent and is traditionally a day of quiet reflection and anticipation before Easter celebrations begin.
Some churches hold evening vigil services that transition into Easter: The Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday is the most important liturgy of the year.
