Godspell

Hippie religious show

Godspell is a 1971 musical based on the Gospel of Matthew, depicting the parables and teachings of Jesus through song, dance, and contemporary theatrical style.

The title comes from an Old English word meaning "good news"—the same root that gives us gospel.

We saw Godspell at the community theater last weekend.
