Latin Mass
Extraordinary Form worship
Latin Mass refers to the Roman Catholic Mass celebrated in Latin rather than the local vernacular language.
Before the Second Vatican Council (1962–1965), Latin was the universal liturgical language of the Roman Rite.
The term now typically distinguishes the traditional rite from the post-Vatican II Mass usually said in local languages: They attend the Latin Mass every Sunday.
Also called the Tridentine Mass.
