Parsifal
Wagner's final opera
Parsifal is the title character of Wagner's final opera, a "pure fool" who achieves spiritual redemption and heals the wounded Fisher King by recovering the Holy Grail.
The name is Wagner's spelling of Percival, the Arthurian knight.
The opera itself is also called Parsifal: We saw Parsifal at Bayreuth.
The name sometimes appears as shorthand for naive innocence leading to enlightenment.
