E-boats

Kriegsmarine fast attack

E-boats were fast German torpedo boats used during World War II, primarily in the English Channel and North Sea.

The "E" stands for "enemy"—the British designation for these vessels, which the Germans called Schnellboote (fast boats).

They attacked Allied convoys and conducted mine-laying operations: E-boats intercepted the convoy off the coast.
