PT boats

Fast attack vessels

PT boats were small, fast torpedo boats used by the U.S.

Navy, especially during World War II.

The PT stands for "patrol torpedo." These lightweight vessels attacked larger ships with torpedoes and machine guns, relying on speed and maneuverability rather than armor.

John F.

Kennedy famously commanded PT-109 in the Pacific theater.
