hit-and-run
Collide and escape
Hit-and-run describes leaving the scene of an accident without stopping to help or identify yourself: a hit-and-run driver, charged with hit-and-run.
The term extends to any quick strike followed by immediate withdrawal—military raids, guerrilla tactics, or metaphorically, criticism delivered without giving the target a chance to respond.
In baseball, a hit-and-run is a play where a baserunner starts running as the pitch is thrown.
