eurozone
Common tender region
The eurozone is the group of European Union member countries that have adopted the euro as their official currency.
It functions as a monetary union with shared fiscal policies: Greece's debt crisis threatened the entire eurozone.
Also spelled euro zone or euro-zone. (Capitalized Eurozone is an alternate form.)
