Cadiz
Atlantic Spanish harbor
Cadiz is a port city in southwestern Spain, one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in Western Europe.
It sits on a narrow peninsula jutting into the Atlantic, historically important for maritime trade and naval operations.
The city served as the launching point for Columbus's later voyages and was the target of Francis Drake's famous 1587 raid.
We spent a week in Cadiz exploring the old town.
