Canberra
Bush Capital city
Canberra is the capital city of Australia, located in the Australian Capital Territory between Sydney and Melbourne.
It was purpose-built as a compromise capital when the two larger cities couldn't agree on which should hold the title.
The name is sometimes used metonymically for the Australian federal government: Canberra announced new immigration policies.
