Aneurin Bevan

Aneurin Bevan was a Welsh politician who served as Britain's Minister of Health from 1945 to 1951, founding the National Health Service.

A Labour firebrand known for his oratory and socialist convictions, Bevan became synonymous with the principle of universal healthcare free at the point of use.

His name still invokes debates about public services: defending Bevan's legacy, a Bevanite approach to policy.
