Dylan Thomas

Dylan Thomas was a Welsh poet and writer whose lyrical, emotionally intense verse made him one of the most celebrated English-language poets of the twentieth century.

His works include "Do not go gentle into that good night" and "Under Milk Wood." Known for his dramatic public readings and tumultuous personal life marked by alcoholism, he died in New York at age thirty-nine.

His name sometimes appears as shorthand for the romantic image of the self-destructive literary genius.
