yellow line
Highway center marking
A yellow line is a painted stripe on a road indicating traffic boundaries.
In the US, yellow lines separate opposing traffic flows—a solid yellow line prohibits passing, while a broken one permits it.
In the UK, yellow lines along curbs restrict parking: single yellow means limited times, double yellow means no parking.
Don't cross the yellow line.
