lane marker
Painted highway line
Lane markers are the painted lines, reflectors, or raised elements on a road surface that define traffic lanes.
White markers separate lanes moving in the same direction; yellow markers separate opposing traffic.
Raised reflectors (cat's eyes or Botts' dots) supplement painted lines, especially for nighttime visibility.
The lane markers were worn and barely visible.
