free
Costing you nothing
The adjective free has branched out considerably from its original meaning of enjoying liberty.
This idea pervades many things that free frequently characterizes: free will, free speech, free trade, free agent.
Another common use of free is a thing that is available without cost: free kick, free download, free parking, free meal.
When a physical, inanimate thing is free, it is not secured: Take the free end and loop it through the hook.
When you free something or someone, you cause them to be free, releasing them from a state of security, control, or bondage.
