webserver
Serves web pages
A webserver is a computer system that stores, processes, and delivers web pages to users over the Internet.
When you type a URL into a browser, your request goes to a webserver, which sends back the requested content.
The term also refers to the software that handles these requests: We're running Apache as our webserver.
Often written as two words: web server.
