light intensity
How bright something shines
Light intensity is the amount or strength of light in a given area or from a given source.
In physics, it measures luminous flux per unit solid angle (candelas) or power per unit area.
In photography and everyday use, it simply describes how bright or dim a light appears: Adjust the light intensity on your screen to reduce eye strain.
Plants have varying light intensity requirements for photosynthesis.
