rondel
Two-rhyme poem
A rondel is a French verse form consisting of thirteen or fourteen lines with only two rhymes throughout, where the first two lines recur as a refrain in the middle and at the end.
The form was popular in medieval French poetry and enjoyed revival among English poets in the late nineteenth century.
Rondel also refers to a small circular object, particularly in heraldry or jewelry.
