underrotation
Not enough turns
Underrotation is failing to complete the full rotation required in a spinning or flipping movement.
The term appears most often in figure skating and gymnastics, where judges penalize jumps or aerial maneuvers that land short of their intended rotation: She lost points for underrotation on the triple axel.
The opposite is overrotation.
