Revere
Colonial horseback messenger
Paul Revere was an American silversmith and patriot famous for his midnight ride in 1775 to warn colonial militias of approaching British forces.
His name evokes American revolutionary spirit and has become shorthand for sounding an urgent alarm: She became the Paul Revere of climate activism.
Revere is also a city in Massachusetts named for him. (Lowercase revere means to deeply respect.)
