ironworker
Structural steel installer
An ironworker is a tradesperson who works with structural iron and steel—erecting frameworks for buildings, bridges, and other structures.
The job involves connecting steel beams at heights, often walking narrow beams high above the ground: Ironworkers bolted the girders into place thirty stories up.
The term also applies to workers in iron foundries or ornamental metalwork shops.
