tankage
Container holding space
Tankage refers to the storage capacity of tanks collectively, or the amount a tank or system of tanks can hold.
In agriculture and industry, tankage also denotes the dried animal residue left after fat has been rendered from slaughterhouse waste, used as fertilizer or animal feed.
The facility's tankage was insufficient for the increased oil production.
The term may also refer to the fee charged for storing materials in tanks.
